Emerging from a netherworld of spectral radiophonics and atmospheric ambience, the Brighton-based Embla Quickbeam, once a member of ritualistic supergroup Leopard Leg, is a paragon of creeping malice and subtle disquiet. Her off-kilter symphonies of haunted rapture and discordant dreamscapes are a glimpse into a kingdom of unsettling beauty, and a monocle for the third eye.
