Emma Lilwall
Placed at the pivotal point where sound art and music meet, Lilwall examines genre using low–fi technology – shifting the audio, dissecting and refining sound into a raw material creating a new ‘super compound’ and fusion of the dismembered elements.
Staging a durational activity that employs a hand-made record lathe and a sewing machine, she will sample the sounds of the machine, cutting c.d’s with the needle whilst sewing an intergalactic outfit. Building an archive of sounds throughout the weekend Lilwall will create a final piece, which will be performed on the final day whilst donning her completed outfit.
