Improvising sound-manipulation duo. Since meeting at Brighton Safehouse Collective in 2009, they have collaborated in a various quartets, internet radio sessions, live slide-show scores and a John Cage recital, but have only recently worked as a duo, performing at March Hare Crossover and Splitting the Atom events in Brighton earlier this year.

Z*qhygoem formed his first band in 1973, aged 11, and by 1975 was exploring sound in a less conventional manner. Since then, his work has included expressionist physical theatre, shamanic trance drumming, sonic psychic-energy sessions, and composition for Butoh dance. He has just formed a production company, An Eldritch Glimpse, currently working on Goblin Market (experimental music, abstract film, narration, masked play and puppetry) to be performed from September.

Al Strachan regularly plays with Supernormal veterans Hamilton Yarns, Mary Hampton Cotillion and Thee Bald Knobbers, amongst quite a few others. He plays cornet, electronics and percussion, sometimes all at the same time.
