Form Constants

A new audio-visual collaboration between Aidan Richard Taylor and Kim Da Costa. The project embodies live performance using handmade and hacked analogue machines and forgotten technology of the recent past. Aidan Richard Taylor (from Ginko) builds his own modular performance synthesizers and sound effects and hacks consumer electronics in order to craft a unique sound. Kim Da Costa has hacked old video hardware and built her own video processing electronics to create a unique form of video synthesis.

The project is designed for the pair to develop a modular performance system where analog audio and video signals can be reactive to each other (video manipulating audio, audio manipulating video). This is achieved by both hardwiring signals and using real world feedback such as light detection.
