Gertrude and Friends
Throughout the weekend the avant-punk collective Gertrude will build a nest of tunes overlaid with birdsong gathered on-site with the assistance of Supernormal dwellers. The team will be on the hunt for good bird-spotting locations, directions to hedgerow activity, or possibly even clues to “birdsong” of a more human nature. Commentary, discussion, mapping and spontaneous activity or interpretive movement will be encouraged.
Playback of the site-specific bird soundscape will form part of an experimental set to be performed on Sunday evening, with members of the audience invited to participate.
