Henry Blacker
Crawling from a grubby world of overcranked ampstacks and Wetherspoons boozers, Henry Blacker’s sinewy attack, part Girls Against Boys groove and part Fudge Tunnel-style sludge abjection, makes for a queasy, surreal and oddly compelling proposition. A frightful insult to the riffage of classic rock, and all the better for it, their debut ‘Hungry Dogs Will Eat Dirty Puddings’ is a triumph of bad attitude over common sense, and the mean-spiritedness of their attack will doubtless remain intact whatever the weather in August.
