La La Vasquez

Cheekily naming themselves after the reality television personality and MTV VJ, the London-based indie pop trio La La Vasquez formed in 2009 around the talents of guitarist Freya, bassist Merida, and drummer Rachael.Purveying an unabashedly lo-fi sound that welcomed comparisons to bands like the Marine Girls, Dolly Mixture, and Black Tambourine (not to mention contemporary acts like Betty and the Werewolves and Veronica Falls).

Theirs is an ever changing mix of venomous scrappy garage-rock, angular and haunting post-punk and C86-influenced indie-pop.
