Lawrence Upton and Benedict Taylor

Benedict Taylor (born 1982) is a British solo violist & composer specialising in new music and improvisation. Lawrence Upton is a poet, graphic artist and sound artist. Taylor is at the forefront of the British & European new and improvised music scene: performing recording and composing.. Upton is remarkable for the range of his genres and forms; and a pioneer in the creation of new art-work spanning many genres. Taylor & Upton met in 2010. They pursue a collaborative approach to engender a “third mind”, composition unavailable to either individual on its own.
