Luminous Bodies
This London-based stupourgroup describe their own sound as a ‘scumbag lysergic racket’ and we’re hard pushed to disagree. Containing members of Terminal Cheesecake, Part Chimp and Gum Takes Tooth, their barrage of rancour is equal parts the antisocial squall of Butthole Surfers, the twin drummers from recent Melvins falling down the stairs, and the sound of a Montrose LP through a mangle. A band that can drink you under the table is one thing. A band whose sound then comes across like said table being launched across your cranium is quite another.
