Red Square
The Resurrected lodestars of uncompromising improv-avant-rock with a history that dates all the way back to the late 60s and Middle Earth club, via a period of assaulting sensibilities with a defiantly loud and confontational blend of avant-skronk that predated the like of Sonic Youth and Last Exit in its defiant blurring of boundaries between spurious notions of high and low art. Red Square have made a history of blending the fearsome improvised imperative of jazz and the noise assaults of out-rock and metal in a way that often led to outright confrontation with their audiences. Yet there’ll be no such aggro at Supernormal, where we’re honoured to welcome this bunch of chrononauts and visionary iconoclasts.
