Roberta Vaz
Roberta Vaz is an interdisciplinary artist working with performance, installation, video and photography. Her work explores fiction, narrative, culture and identity and often addresses time and the abject. Roberta’s background is in dance and experimental theatre and she is currently pursuing a degree in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. Roberta is the founder of The Typewriters Collective of time based art under which name she had works shown at Robin Howards Dance Theatre, BAC, Hackney Empire and Camden People’s Theatre. As a solo artist Roberta has performed at Alma Enterprise Gallery, Red Gallery, Trinity Buoy Warf, Performance Space and Vitrine Gallery. Roberta is also a core member of LOTOS Collective and collaborated with many London based artists including Eddie Peake, Ludhal & Seitl Co-Laboratory and Living Structures with whom she has shown works at Barbican Centre, ICA, Auto Italia and Hoxton Hall.
