Sarah Angliss
Brighton-based sound sculptor Sarah Angliss operates at the strange periphery between robotics and folklore, between defunct machinery and faded variety acts. Her work operates on a wavelength beyond the humdrum of much contemporary experimental performance, utilising resuscitated artefacts and bizarre automata where others use loop pedals and samplers. Given Sarah’ blurring of the boundaries between art music, and the other in such spectacular style, we’re slightly ashamed that it’s taken us four years to get her on board.
