Sitting Room University
SRU present ‘Our School Project’ which critically analyse’s current educational practice and to instigate new and experimental methods of critical and collective education. Their recent projects have focussed on higher education but for this festival we are going back to schoolyard shenanigans and facilitating the possibility of participants to both collectively imagine and manifest alternative and exciting pre-figurations of what basic education and learning could potentially be. They will invite festival goers to come and participate in discussion groups and attend ‘traditional’ lessons with a twist to strike a balance between theoretical discussion concerning what makes a good ‘school’ and fun, practical engagement with these issues.
