Quintessentially English, like curiously bucolic post-punk/DIY fledgelings whilst avoiding any such genres. Lyrically, it’s somewhere in the realm of an acerbic Billy Bragg, though don’t be confused into thinking the music’s liable to appear at Newport any time soon – it’s far too cutting for that sort of fare.
