Tara Pattenden: ‘arbour Loops
Tara Pattenden is an Australian multimedia artist working in the field of analog electronics, noise performance and soft circuitry and her work reaches beyond music performance to include video, installation and costume design. Supernormal have commissioned Tara to create ‘arbour Loops – a life sized audio tape based installation instrument that can be controlled by up to 5 people at a time. Manipulating cassette tapes to step through 4 different motor speeds, ‘arbour Loops allows people to create rhythmic compositions. Audio content is created by alter-ego Phantom Chips and collaborators from the Shed Sound Space that will rotate throughout the festival.
