The Analogue Photographer’s Magic Show
Interested in exploring the theatrical possibilities of staged photography, the APMS will engage subjects and bystanders into a series of absurd transactions that explore the cultural process of capturing images with light and producing Instant-ish Photographies. Armed with a 5×4 camera, a beautiful assistant, and a variety of other photographic paraphernalia, packed into an old leather suitcase transported on a bicycle pannier, The APMS will advertise for subjects, and engage their unsuspecting attention with a series of unexpected outcomes and distractions from the usual, even unusual, procedure of having a photo taken.
