The Cult of Flat Soufflée
Nottingham-born DIY foursome, Flat Soufflée, are going one better than playing at Supernormal. They’re setting themselves up as a full-on music cult. Their aim is to gain legendary status for the band, in the way that a single festival appearance sometimes can. Base camp will be an igloo-shaped tent (last used at the Reading Festival, circa 94) in which they’ll perform mind-bending, ritualistic acoustic sets. Initiates into their cult will be required to perform abnormal festival acts, to include taking a vow of silence, adopting a new name, handing over bank details, and appearing in a new music video for a cult anthem that they’ll be writing onsite.
