The Haemogoblin Society
The bedroom opera is a collectively evolved musical performance exploring: current dispossession, murder, trauma and sexual jealousy. Over two years the work has metamorphosed from a Communist Gallery idea in Brixton market into ‘The Haemogoblin Society’, forming a rich combination of intermedia; created from musical, theatrical and artistic practices, presented as a completely new form of musical-opera. The world premiere of ‘The Haemogoblin Society’ by Andrew Cooper, Charlie Fox and Mikey Georgeson took place in Marseille as an intervention into Marseille-Provence 2013 (European Capital of Culture) on 13 April 2013 – with the support of Counterproductions and Juxtapoz Atelier.
