2013
‘Phlaag Pole’ was kindly donated to Supernormal by Various Artist in 2012 and became the central meeting point at the festival. This year they will curate the flag that will adorn it.
2012
The black Phonetic Phlaag flag is representative of anarchy whilst the white In-ger-lund* lettering references herd mentality and the tribal chanting of football supporters. This will be a site specific piece, situated at the heart of the festival and operating not only as a meeting point but as a means to promote discourse, for festival goers to engage in dialogue on topics such as national identity, pride, patriotism etc and where the individual places themselves within our society.
